❤️❤️❤️❤️love listening to George Jones He is and always will be my number one country music singer and I have a lot of his cd rest in peace George Jones ❤❤❤
This song directly resembles my fathers life. He made his choices he took the hard road. He destroyed his family. I hope it was worth it dad. Maybe next time around you can make the right choice.
Outside of this absolutely fantastic song, can we talk about how far back George's face has been pulled lol, man went a little too heavy on the facelift
"Choices" is the greatest song by George Jones. Ever. This timeless country classic should have spent at least 4 weeks at #1 for "The Possum" back in 1999, yet this did not hit the Billboard top 20.
The possum stopped at my uncles tire shop with a blowout on his tour bus about 30 years ago in eastern kentucky. My uncle couldnt fix his tire that day because the rim was chewed up from them driving on it. George got a cab to the nearest beer store and stocked up for the night and got ahitty drunk and missed his show that night.
When my dad was alive he used to sing his music. Here's his story my dad My mom was pregnant with me and George Jones came in and heard my dad playing in a bar and asked him to come to the grand old Opry in play music with him but my dad said no because my mom was pregnant with me he never got a chance to do it ever again he was a real man he put his music aside to be with my mom.
The greatest showman and singer. The epitome of country music. I think everyone can rested to this song no matter what they have done or not in their life. Unlike some, George Jones acknowledged the demons that he had endured all of his life, and tried to fight the wrongs. We all have vices. Whether it's drinking, smoking, cussing, gambling, gluttony, etc. No one is perfect on this Earth. George Jones sang a lot of songs that touched peoples lives over the years, but this one is a masterpiece.
This world needs ole possum. He definitely made mistakes as a human being, as well all have. But I respect a man, or woman, who takes responsibility for their choices.
l agree with you, indeed George Jones is a great and talented artist who's songs never goes out of style, he's one of my favorites artist, he's songs still and always heals the Soul, I pray God gives you lot of beautiful days.
Been an Alcoholic most of my life, plenty of times I’ve cried to George’s voice. When you can relate to the music it speaks to the soul. If I had any twin who was a damn singer and song writer, it was George Jones. I was a train headed downhill with no brakes, and I still struggle with the pain of regret and addiction. RIP George, your voice still lives on.
Brings back so many great memories of me and some great friends booze cruzing the dirt rds and blaring this on the radio back in HS. Was a alcoholic for ten years back then... but id do it all over again
My #PoemADay is "Choices" The smart choice is the one to make But the easy choices are the ones we take Then when it's to late it was a mistake The Hard Choices Consider for God Sake!

Thank you George Jones!!!
It isn't Karoke if you're the one who made the song famous in the first place.
George Jones had horrible stage fright. You can still see some of it in his eyes here. Even after all those years. What an amazing artist.
Thank you for postin! Ive listened to this for many years, and I appreciate the live version of this legend!
